To register your external account with Microsoft, go to https://www.office.com and click Sign In

2. Click --> No account? Create one!
3. Input your external account and click Next
4. Create a new password for the external account, this will be associated only with your new account.
5. Go back to your external email and look for a verification email
6. Input the code that you received in the email
7. Enter the characters you see
8. Input your phone number and Click "Send Code"
9. Input the code received on your phone and click "Next"
10. You have now enrolled your external account with Microsoft
11. Go back to your external email inbox and click the invitation your received from your SharePoint Admin
12. Click "Accept"
13. The SharePoint site (or shared resource) will display
