When spell-check isn't functioning correctly in the Outlook Web Application (OWA) you will need to try these steps:
1) Select any email in your inbox and choose "Reply"
2) Go to the "Message" tab:
3a) Locate "Editor" and then select "Editor Settings"
3b) If you have the "Simplified Ribbon" enabled, click the Arrow icon at the right hand side of the screen and choose "Classic Ribbon" - You will then be able to see the "Editor" button:
4) Disable "Spelling" and "Grammar" from the Corrections section, and click "OK"
This will allow Windows to do the spelling corrections and error highlighting rather than Outlook which currently has a known bug causing this issue to occur
