To use SMS text messaging, open your Ring Central app on your computer.
Select the Text option from the right menu:
Note- If your screen is not full screen, it will look like this. Click the three dots on the bottom right of the app and select Text.
That will bring you to the Text screen.
To send a new text, select the speech bubble at the top left:
On the next screen, you can enter either a name from your contacts, or just enter a phone number. The "Text from" section is your number. If you are texting on a general clinic account, please make sure that the "Text from" is set to the clinic's number. If you are using a personal Ring Central account to text patients, please ensure that your own number is entered here. It will be displayed to the person you send the text to.
Once you enter the number or contact name, a box will appear for you to type your message:
Once you've typed your message, scroll down and select next. On this screen, you can double check your message, then click the blue arrow to send.
Messages sent to you will appear in the main screen on the text tab.
To add Contacts to your Ring Central account, click the three dots in the bottom right and select Contacts.
Click the + at the top right of the screen, and select "Create new contact"
At this point, you can fill in the information for your new contact, then click Save
Your contact will now be saved in your Contacts List.
